  Pankake, Betty M.   
   
  Betty M. Pankake, 82, of Sand Hill Road, Hershey, died Sunday, October 5, 2008, 
  in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. Born May 21, 1926, in Hershey, she was a 
  daughter of the late John and Sarah (Blouch) Peterman. She retired from the 
  H.B. Reese Candy Company, and was a member of Church of the Redeemer United 
  Church of Christ, Hershey. She was the widow of Roy G. Pankake, who died March 
  24, 2005, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Umberger. 
  Surviving are her children, Glenn D., husband of Linda Pankake of New 
  Cumberland, and Brenda M., wife of Allen Pharmer of San Mateo, California; a 
  brother, Robert Peterman of Palmyra; six grandchildren; and seven great-
  grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2008, 
  at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra, preceded by a viewing 
  from 1 – 2 p.m. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Memorial 
  contributions may be made to her church, 500 West Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, PA 
  17033.
