Miller shabodeho@aol.com July 3, 2008, 9:17 am Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 6/22/2008 Parpagene, Emanuel "Manny" Emanuel "Manny" Parpagene, 90, died Friday, June 20, 2008 in Lebanon, Pa. He was the husband of the late Fern E. (Gibble) Parpagene, who died December 11, 1995. Born in Lebanon, Pa. on May 26, 1918, he was the son of the late Achilles and Anna (Moralade) Parpagene. A 1936 graduate of Lebanon High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force during WW II. He had been a supervisor of the X- Ray Laboratory at Quaker Alloy, Myerstown, Pa., for 13 years. After leaving Quaker Alloy, he worked in the Advance Metals Research Dept. for Caterpillar, Inc. in Mossville, Illinois until his retirement. He was a member of the Palmyra American Legion for over 50 years, and a member of the Navy Club of Lebanon. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid Phillies and Penn State fan. He is survived by a sister Mary wife of Charles McKinney of Lebanon, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11 am. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa. Viewing Tuesday at 10 am. Interment at New Union Cemetery, Myerstown, Pa.
