McCamant Patches, 44, 406 Fairview Road, Manheim, Pa., formerly of Lebanon, died Monday morning, August 4, 2008, at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, Pa. Born in Lancaster, Pa., she was the daughter of John N. McCamant Jr., husband of Patricia McCamant, of Paradise, Pa., and the late Bonnie L. Kauffman Highfield. She was the wife of Timothy P. Patches, exalted ruler of Lancaster Lodge No. 134, BPO Elks. They were married for 13 years on October 31. Sharon was employed as office manager for 10 years by Trinity Management Associates in Lancaster, Pa. Being very family oriented, she demonstrated her love for her nieces and nephews by attending their sporting events. Sharon was a cast member in the original film, Hairspray. In addition to photography, she enjoyed helping others in need. In addition to her husband, father, and stepmother, she is survived by her stepfather, John E. Highfield of Lebanon; a step-son, Lance Cpl. Zachary R. Patches of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; two sisters, Kimberly A., wife of Nathan J. Brightbill, and Stacy L. McCamant, both of Annville, Pa.; a half brother, John N. McCamant III of Paradise; two stepsisters, Melanie, wife of Albert Cormier of Leominster, Mass., and Amy, wife of Tito Ford of York, Pa.; and 13 nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday evening, August 8, 2008, at 8 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 48 Market Square, Manheim, Pa., with Pastor Jeffrey C. Schell officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the church on Friday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
