  John F. Pentony John F. Pentony, age 92, of Ocean View, Del., formerly of 
  Lebanon, Pa., passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Berlin Nursing 
  Home in Berlin, Md. He was born in Tunnelton, W.Va., son of the late William 
  and Irma (Ashby) Pentony. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a 
  radio operator on Tinian Island. He began his career working at his father's 
  grocery store, where he retired as an assistant manager for the A&P Store in 
  Lebanon, Pa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, 
  Joseph Pentony, in April of 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 
  years, Ida (Rossi) Allwein Pentony, whom he married on June 13, 1966. John will 
  be dearly missed by his daughter, Linda Pentony of Cleveland, Ohio; 
  stepchildren Margaret "Peg" Graybill and her husband Ronald "Ron" of Ocean 
  Pines, Md., Rose Sangrey and husband Robert "Bob" of Akron, Pa., Nancy Nebiker 
  and husband Brian of Ocean View, Del., Frank Allwein of Andover, Ohio, Michael 
  Allwein and wife Pat of Mt. Gretna, Pa; a sister-inlaw, Gen of Kingwood, W.Va.; 
  a sister, Margaret "Sally" Wilson and husband Nathan of Paoli, Pa.; and many 
  stepgrandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren. A funeral service and burial 
  will be private. Arrangements by Melson Funeral Services of Ocean View, Del.
