Perlaki, Sr., of 131 Hillside Drive, Lebanon, died Friday, June 27, 2008, in the Hershey Medical Center. Born in Bethel Twp. on January 8, 1923, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Vorak Perlaki. He was the self- employed owner of Chatterton & Perlaki Plumbing. He attended Fredericksburg High School; was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lebanon; a lifelong member of the Della-Ches Fishing Association; member of the Lebanon Senior Center; an avid card player, golfer, and fisherman; and enjoyed long Sunday drives going out for ice cream. Surviving is his companion and best friend Mildred Hardenstine; two sons, Richard D. Perlaki of Lebanon and Michael D. Perlaki, with whom he lived; a daughter, Jeanne, wife of David Chatterton of Campbelltown; three sisters, Pearl Kreider of Cornwall, Helen Leedy of Lebanon, and Rose, wife of Frederick Reedy, of Lebanon; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John V. Perlaki, Jr.; three brothers, Joseph, Nickolas, and Steven Perlaki; and two sisters, Elizabeth Fake and Catherine Scanlin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM from the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM and also Thursday from 9:30 to 10:00 AM prior to the service. Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 6/28/2008.
