  LaVerne R. Posey, 87, of 860 Norman Drive, Lebanon, died Tuesday, October 14, 
  2008, at ElmCroft Assisted Living Community. She was born October 2, 1921, in 
  Harrisburg, daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Dressler Kreider. She was a 
  member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a sewing machine operator 
  for Everite Knitting Mills and Di-Anne Underwear, and a member of the VFW Post 
  No. 23 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are children Richard, spouse of Kathleen 
  Posey of Searcy, Arkansas, Michael Posey of Lebanon, Ruthann, spouse of Scott 
  Mitchell of Davie, Florida, Patrice Wise of Elizabethtown, and Kevin, spouse of 
  Ana Posey of San Antonio, Texas; brother David "TBone" Kreider of Lebanon; nine 
  grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 
  husband John L. Posey on Aug. 13, 1989, and son Larry D. Posey on Oct. 4, 2003. 
  Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2008, from 9-10 a.m. at 
  Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, followed by 
  services at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park. Memorials can 
  be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 E. Brown Street, Suite 23, 
  Middletown, PA 17057.
