  Geraldine E. Reed, 82 years, went to be with the angels on May 6, 2008, in the 
  Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Arland J. Reed, and they were 
  married for over 45 years. She was born on July 19, 1925, in Lebanon, the 
  daughter of Jacob W. and Edna E. Shirk Gassert. A beautician and owner of 
  Gerry's Beauty Shop, Lebanon. A member of Salem Lutheran Church. A very active 
  member of Lebanon Chapter 115 Order of the Easter Star, White Shrine of 
  Jerusalem and Amaranth. Also a member of the Ebenezer Fire Co., Lebanon County 
  Fire Ladies Auxiliary and state association. Survived by her husband, Arland; 
  sons Harry J., husband of Cathy Heagy of Philadelphia, Carl W., husband of Det 
  Heagy of Lebanon, Michael A., husband of Marta Mann of New Cumberland, Kenneth 
  E. Mann of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; brothers Wayne 
  S. Gassert of Myerstown and John M. Gassert of Georgia. She was proceeded in 
  death by brothers Edwin, Thurman, Kenneth and Clarence J. Gassert; and sisters 
  Ferne Klick and Elizabeth M. Pfautz. Services will be Monday morning 11 a.m. at 
  the Salem Lutheran Church, Eighth and Willow streets. Calling hour Monday 
  morning 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap 
  National. Lebanon Chapter 115 Eastern Star services will be at 9:45 a.m. In 
  lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital. Taylor-
  Ruffner Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
