Rhoade, 75, Lebanon, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008, in Spang Crest Manor. He was the husband of the late Joanne Spangler Rhoade. He was born in Lebanon on July 3, 1932, a son of the late Walter and Beatrice Clauser Rhoade. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the Lebanon Alcoa Plant. He was a member of the Mt. Lebanon No. 226 F. & A. M. and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was a firefighter and life member with the Rural Security Fire Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to watch football and boxing, as well as to play pinochle. He is survived by children, Richard W. and wife Denise Rhoade, Lebanon, Cindy, wife of Ferdinand Sammer, Lebanon; grandchildren, Andrew Rhoade and Jessica Sammer; greatgrandchildren, Nickolas and Daisy Davis; brother, Ronald Rhoade; companion, Rosellen Gruber; also nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Rhoade, and brother, Franklin Rhoade. Private services will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home with interment being made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lebanon Unit, P.O.
