Christ S. Rohrer, 77, of Lititz died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Rapho Township, he was the son of the late John F. and Emma (Stoner) Rohrer. He was the husband of Edna (Brenner) Rohrer. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for J.G. Baker Excavating of Manheim, and after retirement, he was a truck driver for Bickle Potato Chip Co.. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a former chief engineer at Hope Fire Engine & Hose Co. No. 1 of Manheim. Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, John, husband of Terry (Ober) Rohrer of Manheim, Ronald, husband of Jennifer (Myer) Rohrer of Mastersonville, Allen Rohrer and David Rohrer, both of Lititz; two daughters, Susan Rohrer of Bethel Township, Patricia Rohrer of Manheim; five grandchildren, Tracy, Bethany, Christopher, Amanda, and Andrew; two greatgranddaughters, Kailee and Natalee; a brother, Stanley, husband of Lynn (Jones) Rohrer of Manheim; and three sisters, Catherine, wife of Erwin Ober of Lititz, Eva, wife of Ira Shoop of Hershey, and June, wife of Clair Strickler of Brownstown.
