  Carolyn D. Ruhl Carolyn D. Ruhl, 68, of 630 Horseshoe Trail Drive, Mt. Gretna, 
  Pa., died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was 
  the wife of G. William Ruhl. Born in Danville, Pa., on November 26, 1939, she 
  was the daughter of Caroline White Dietrich of Sarasota, Fla., and the late C. 
  Harold Dietrich. She was on the Board of Directors of the Central Pennsylvania 
  Symphony Orchestra for 18 years, and handled many of the administrative 
  functions of the orchestra. She had been a teacher in the Central Dauphin 
  School District, the Cumberland Valley School District, and the Jersey Shore 
  School District. She was a graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in art 
  education. She enjoyed bird and wildlife viewing, as well as gardening. Her 
  first love was her family, and the times spent with her grandchildren were her 
  most treasured moments. Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, 
  David W. Ruhl, husband of Jill of Hummelstown, Pa., and Marianne M. Ruhl Nikas, 
  wife of Alexander of Malvern, Pa.; brother Charles H. Dietrich, husband of 
  Karen of Haddonfield, N.J.; sister Leanna D. Timmerman, wife of Kent of 
  Kennesaw, Ga.; brotherin-law James R. Ruhl, husband of Gretchen of Ballston 
  Lake, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Erica, Benjamin, Nicholas and Sophia; three 
  nieces; and four nephews. Tribute service Saturday, July 26, at 12 p.m. at 
  Trinity Presbyterian Church, 6098 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Visitation 
  with the family Saturday morning from 11 until the time of the service.  
  Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Lebanon, Pa., is in charge of the arrangements.
