Saylor, 77, of 1662 Camp Road, Manheim, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, October 24, 2008. Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late Reverend David F. and Fannie Hossler Miller. Mary helped her husband on the family farm; in her early years, she worked in the housekeeping department at the United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. She was the wife of Richard W. Saylor, and they observed their 53rd wedding anniversary in June of this year. Mary was an active and faithful member of Mt. Hope United Christian Church, Manheim, where she was a member of the Mother's and Others Group. Earlier in her life, she was the youth leader and Sunday school teacher for the Senior High Youth at the Lebanon United Zion Church. Her interests included putting puzzles together, sewing and crocheting. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Dennis M., husband of Ann Heller Saylor, and James M., husband of Kathleen Huntzberger Saylor; a daughter, Elaine M., wife of Bradford Siegrist, all of Manheim; six grandchildren, Heather, Emily, Nancy, Brandon, Melissa, Jenny; and three greatgrandsons, Benjamin, Xavier, and Vernon. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marlin Miller. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the Mt. Hope United Christian Church, Cider Press Road, Manheim, on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at 10 a.m. Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with additional viewing from the church on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
