Miller shabodeho@aol.com July 25, 2008, 11:18 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 7/17/2008 Schirmer, Betty Jean (Shertzer) Betty Jean (Shertzer) Schirmer, 56, of Reeders died early Wednesday morning, July 16, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the wife of the Rev. A.B. Schirmer, with whom she shared seven years of marriage on June 2. Born on June 28, 1952, in Hershey, she was a daughter of Jean A. (Lerch) Shertzer of Hummelstown, and the late James D. Shertzer, and has lived in Reeders since July 2001, when her husband became pastor of the Reeders United Methodist Church. She was very active in the Reeders United Methodist Church, and was also a board member of the Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Nathaniel Martin Novack and his wife, Theresa of Jonestown; a grandson, Lucas Novack; three stepchildren, Amy Wolfgang and her husband, Charlton of Lebanon, Julie Campbell and her husband, Craig of Annville, and Micah Schirmer and his wife, Hiroko of San Diego, Calif.; five stepgrandchildren, Hannah Campbell, Sarah Campbell, Rachel Campbell, Elijah Campbell and Isaiah Campbell; eight siblings, Larry Lerch and his wife, Margie of Hummelstown, James Shertzer Jr., (husband of the late Robin) of Hummelstown, Sandra Weikel and her husband, "Rock" Catalone of Palmyra, Patsy Johnson, (wife of the late Bernard) of Harrisburg, Kenneth Shertzer and his companion, Stacey Deitman of Hummelstown, William Shertzer of Carlisle, Bonnie Schlosser and her husband, John of Dover, and Tina Fultz and her husband, Tim of Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews. There will be visiting hours on Saturday, July 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Reeders United Methodist Church, Route 715, Reeders. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Dr. Edward Kimes, the Rev. Robert Shank and the Rev. Harry Laubach officiating. Arrangements by William H.
