  Clifford W. Schlappig, 77, of Tulpehocken Township died May 11th at 9:40 a.m. 
  of natural causes in Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born in Bethel, son of 
  the late Oscar W. and Florence M. (Graeff) Schlappig. He was a logger for 
  Younker's of Bethel, and also worked in construction for C.W. Good, Lancaster, 
  and J. Robert Beasley Construction, Pottsville, retiring in 1993. Clifford was 
  an avid fiddle player, having been featured on WLYH TV, Lebanon; radio station 
  WLBR, Lebanon; Z107 Elizabethtown; and also Ephrata, Pottsville, and Allentown 
  stations. He also played guitar, and was a band member of the "South Mountain 
  Ridge Runners" from 1952 to 1960. He is survived by his companion of 35 years, 
  Pauline Fabich. Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Hill Funeral 
  Home, Rehrersburg. Interment at Strausstown Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 
  12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make 
  donations to Pauline Fabich, Ketterman Hill Road, Lot No. 2, Richland, PA 
  17087, to help defray expenses.
