She was the loving wife of George F. Schrader, with whom she celebrated a 28th wedding anniversary in November. She was born in Lebanon on March 1, 1934, a daughter of the late Harry and Minnie Wolfe Long. She had been employed at the former Lebanon Valley General Hospital for 15 years as a nursing assistant, and was retired from St. Mary's Hospital at Knoxville, Tenn. Upon retirement from St. Mary's Hospital, she was employed by Dollywood Theme Park. Most recently she worked at the Lebanon Wal-Mart Store in the shoe department. She was a member of St. Jacobs Kimmerlings Church. She loved animals, and was a member of the Berks County Humane Society. She was a patriotic supporter of the U.S. Armed Forces, and loved being in her kitchen cooking for her beloved family. In addition to her husband she is survived by children, Patricia, wife of Daniel Glessner, Carolyn, wife of Mark Hoyer, Kim, wife of Robert Uhler, Robert and wife Penny Warner, Ken and wife Pat Hoffer; grandchildren, Lori Rothermel, Kim Rothermel, Becky, wife of Zach Kissinger, Shawn Hoyer, Michelle Hoyer, Tyler Uhler, Nathan Glessner, Stephanie Glessner; greatgrandchildren, Kiera Iceman, Tanaia Hood, Kendall Finacle; sisters, Phyllis Kulikowski, Betty Haulman, Lillian Stamm; brother, Charles Long. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Rick Hoffer; greatgrandson, Coleman Miles Beatty; sisters, Mary Lutz, Katherine Nicholas, Ellen Ream; brothers, Robert Long, Edward Long, George Long and Russell Long. Funeral services will be Monday 11 a.m. in St. Jacobs Kimmerlings Church, 1 St. Jacob's Drive, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the church. No viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her church or to the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.
