  David V. Schumacher NEWMANSTOWN David V. Schumacher, 56, of 301 Barry lane, 
  Newmanstown, died Sunday, February 24, 2008, in his home. He was the husband of 
  Darla J. Cover Schumacher. He was born August 17, 1951, in Gettysburg, a son of 
  Verle and Catherine Kielholtz Schumacher of Ephrata Manor, Ephrata. He was 
  employed as a computer programmer/designer for Lancaster Laboratories, with 33 
  years of service. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from 
  Penn State University. David and his family enjoyed traveling, especially to 
  Hawaii, and have visited all 50 states. He also loved to hike, walking across 
  England on the Hadrian Wall with his wife in the summer of 2006. He loved to 
  work in his flower garden and raise tropical plants. Surviving in addition to 
  his parents and wife are daughters, Trista L., wife of Craig Everhart, 
  Newmanstown, Terra N. Schumacher, Newmanstown; brothers, Daryl, husband of Mary 
  Ann Schumacher, Ephrata, Delwyn, husband of Tamra Schumacher, Manheim. Viewing 
  will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clauser Funeral Home, North 
  Carpenter Street, Schaefferstown. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of 
  flowers, contributions may be made to the ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia 
  Chapter, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.
