  Carl E. Shaak MYERSTOWN Carl E. Shaak, 77, of Myerstown died Friday, February 
  1, 2008, at his residence. He was the husband of Anna R. Ressler Shaak, to whom 
  he was married 50 years on December 21. Born in Lebanon, Pa., on December 29, 
  1930, he was the son of the late Robert P. and Mary L. Kreider Shaak. He served 
  in the U.S. Army. He had been employed at Bethlehem Steel, Lebanon, Pa., for 35 
  years, retiring in 1981. He then drove school bus for the Elco School District 
  for 10 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Tulpehocken UCC, Richland, 
  Pa. ,and enjoyed his hobby of trains. In addition to his wife, he is survived 
  by daughters Sandra, wife of Samuel Spitler of Richland, Pa., Susan Harnish of 
  Lebanon, Pa., and Sharon wife of Bryan Harnish of Myerstown, Pa.; son Carl D., 
  husband of Jaime Shaak of Lititz, Pa.; sister Esther Garret of Lebanon, Pa.; 
  grandsons Joshua Knoll, Adam, Michael and Jared Harnish; and granddaughters 
  Kayla Harnish, Samantha and Kaitlyn Shaak; several nieces and nephews. He was 
  preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be 
  held Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at 11 am. from Tulpehocken UCC, 961 
  Tulpehocken Road, Richland, Pa. Viewing Tuesday from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Grose 
  Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa., and Wednesday at 10 a.m. 
  at the church. Interment at Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Stouchsburg, Pa. In lieu 
  of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 
  100 E. Brown Street, Suite 23, Middletown, PA 17057.
