  William "Bill" M. Shadle, 55, of Myerstown, Pa., died suddenly Saturday, August 
  23, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, Pa. He was the loving 
  husband of Deborah D. (McClain) Shadle, to whom he was married 35 years on May 
  19. Born in Shamokin, Pa., on January 2, 1953, he was the son of the late 
  William G. and Patricia C. (Kehres) Shadle. He was a 1970 graduate of John 
  Harris High School, Harrisburg, Pa., and received a bachelor of science degree 
  from Regents College, New York. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, 
  and had been employed as a medical technologist at the VA Medical Center, 
  Lebanon, Pa., for 11 years. He was a lifetime member of the Air Force 
  Sergeant's Association, and a member of the Jack Russell Terrier Club of 
  America. He served as a Jackson Township auditor for six years, and enjoyed 
  hunting, gardening, and was an avid reader. In addition to his wife, he is 
  survived by a brother, Gary, husband of Debbie Shadle of Berwick, Pa.; three 
  nephews; and one niece. He was a devoted father to his "kids," Pokey and 
  Dottie. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 11 a.m. 
  from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa. Viewing 
  Wednesday from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., and Thursday at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, 
  memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 
  N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
