  Shepherd, Dorothy B. "Dottie"   
   
  Dorothy B. "Dottie" Shepherd, 88, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008, at 
  Cedar Haven in Lebanon, Pa., surrounded by family and friends. Born November 
  23, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late John and 
  Marjorie Kennedy Bickel. A graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, 
  Illinois, she married Dr. Clyde E. "Shep" Shepherd in 1942. He passed away in 
  1997. For over 30 years, she lived in Rockford, Illinois, moving to Bullard, 
  Texas, and later to Lebanon, Pa. She was a member of Second Congregational 
  Church in Rockford, Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and P.E.O. She enjoyed golfing, 
  cooking, gardening and needlework. Always a generous and patient woman, Dottie 
  was a devoted wife and mother. She instilled in her children and grandchildren 
  the love of family, gratefulness to others, and a positive attitude. Survivors 
  include two daughters, Sandy, wife of Bruce Johnson of Lebanon, Nancy, wife of 
  Paul Cicero of Rockford, Ill., one son, Ron, husband of Jamie Shepherd of 
  McKinney, Texas; grandchildren Jennifer Donten, Kristin Marks, Matt, Craig, and 
  Alli Cicero, R.B. and Parker Shepherd; six great-grandchildren; one sister, 
  Annette McGlasson, of Pontiac, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and many dear 
  friends. A memorial service and burial will take place in Fithian, Ill., at the 
  convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the 
  Alzheimer's Association of Greater Pa., 3544 North Progress Ave., Suite 205, 
  Harrisburg, PA. 17110. Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory are in charge of 
  arrangements.
