  Emma M. Sherwood, 91, 979 Lilac Lane, Lebanon, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, in 
  her residence. She was the wife of Thomas J. Sherwood Sr. She was born in 
  Lebanon County on December 2, 1916, daughter of the late Annie Hable Zehring. 
  She was a former garment worker. She worshiped in the Lutheran faith, and was a 
  member of the Red Hat Ladies. Surviving in addition to her husband are son 
  Thomas J. Sherwood Jr. and wife Judy of Lititz; daughter Jean Sherwood of 
  Lebanon; five grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and five great-
  greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. 
  Private family services will be held with interment in Zion "Goshert's" 
  Cemetery. Please omit flowers; contributions may be made to your favorite 
  animal charity. The Rohland Funeral Home Inc., Lebanon, is in charge of the 
  arrangements
