  Steward F. Shifflett Steward F. Shifflett, 71, of Orrstown passed away on 
  Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was the husband of 
  Bernice H. Johanson Shifflett, and they would have celebrated their 54th 
  wedding anniversary on November 20th. Born in Crozet, Va., on August 19, 1936, 
  he was the son of the late James F.A.J. and Grace Sprouise Shifflett. In 1993, 
  after 31 years of service, he retired from the U.S. Army as a CW4. He was 
  awarded a bronze star in Vietnam, and also served in Desert Storm. He was a 
  member of the American Legion and the Military Officers Association of America. 
  In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steward F. Shifflett Jr. of 
  Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Sandra F., wife of Darron Foose of Akron, Ohio; 
  sisters Louise Shifflett of Hershey, Lillian Ristenbatt of Lebanon and Naomi 
  Smoot of Jonestown; four grandchildren, Brandon Shifflett, Justin Shifflett, 
  Nakia Davis and Nastassia Foose; and brother-in-laws Dr. Andrew H. Johanson Jr. 
  of Ambler and Gerald F. Johanson of Cheyney. He was preceded in death by a 
  daughter, Starr F. Shifflett; and a sister, Lucille. Funeral services will be 
  held on Monday, April 28, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. the Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral 
  Home, 48 W. Market St., Jonestown. Viewing will be one hour prior to the 
  service. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of 
  flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Four Diamonds Fund, 600 
  Centerview Drive, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033-0852. Published in the
