  Charles M. Shirk, 70, of 127 N. 10th St., Lebanon, died Wednesday, September 3, 
  2008, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Josephine A. 
  Katzaman Shirk, and the late Joanne Wagner Shirk, who died in 1993. Born in 
  Lebanon on December 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret 
  Dietz Shirk. He was a truck driver, having worked for various companies, and 
  was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and 
  camping. Surviving in addition to his wife are eight children, Steve, husband 
  of Laverne Shirk, Chuck Shirk and his fianc"e, Bonnie Fisher, Scott, husband of 
  Amy Shirk, Earlene Richman, Harry Kreiser, Ellen Clews, Russ Kreiser and Randy 
  Kreiser; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; several brothers, 
  sisters, nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan 
  Brewer. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 from Thompson Funeral Home 
  Inc., 126 S. Ninth St. Interment Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing hours will 
  be held Sunday evening 68, and Monday morning 9-10 at Thompson Funeral Hone
