  Richard W. Shirk, 77, formerly of Hilltop Road, Myerstown, died Thursday, 
  December 25, 2008, at Cedar Haven, Lebanon. Born in Myerstown, Pa., on June 2, 
  1931, he was the son of the late Warren H. and Mary E. (Lehman) Shirk. He was a 
  member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Myerstown, Pa. He is survived by several 
  aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 
  2008, at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, 
  Pa. There will be no viewing or visitation. Interment will be at the 
  convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be 
  made to Friedens Lutheran Church, 301 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067.
