Shreiner, 88, formerly of Penryn died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Elm, he was the son of the late William N. and Emma Hackman Shreiner. Raymond retired from working for the Sensenich Corporation Lititz; previously he was employed in the shipping department for 38 years at the former Morgan Paper Company Lititz. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during World War II. Raymond was the husband of the late Verna K. Bomberger Shreiner, who died in 2004. He was a member of Mount Hope United Christian Church, Manheim. He was a faithful and active volunteer with local area fire companies and fire police associations, including memberships with Penryn Fire Company, the Manheim Fire Company and Lancaster County Fire Police Association. He was also a member of the Penn-Elm Area Lions Club. Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are three daughters, Joanne, wife of J. Larry Hollinger of Manheim, Carol A., wife of A. William Bushong of Lititz, Diane, wife of Harry L. Barnett III of Penryn; six grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great- greatgranddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother, James H. Shreiner. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service from the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 10 a.m. Interment in Penryn Cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the Hoffer Auditorium on Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with additional viewing time on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
