  Shirley M. Batz Shutt, 66, of 894 Manada Gap Road, Grantville, passed away on 
  Sunday, June 15, 2008, at her home. She was the wife of Carl L. "Fuzz" Shutt 
  Jr. Born in Lebanon on May 26, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John and 
  Dorothy Weaver Batz. She had retired from Murrys Steak in Lebanon. She was a 
  member of the United Christian Church of Manada Gap, a lifetime member of the 
  Shellsville VFW Auxiliary, a member of the Marysville Sportsmen's Association 
  and Fishing Creek Anglers, and the MS Society. She loved fishing, enjoyed 
  vacationing in West Virginia and Chincoteague, Va., and enjoyed cooking and 
  baking. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Rick L., 
  husband of Bonita Batz of Jonestown; a daughter, Connie M., wife of David Shirk 
  of Lebanon; brother Mark Batz of Jonestown; sister Evelyn Yordy of Jonestown; 
  seven grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
  She was preceded in death by her son, Dale K. Batz; brothers Francis "Bud" Batz 
  and Kenneth Batz, the late husband of Marilyn Batz of Lykens; and a sister, 
  Verna Weller. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at 11 
  a.m. at the Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St., Jonestown. 
  Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Blue 
  Ridge Memorial Park, Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may 
  be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042; or to 
  the MS Society of Central Pennsylvania, 2040 Linglestown Road, Suite 104, 
  Harrisburg, PA 17110.
