Gretna. She was the wife of the late James A. Simon. She was born in Saxton on June 16, 1910, daughter of the late Luther P. and Annie Cottie Ross. She was a retired college professor at Millersville University, teaching in the education department. She had earlier taught in the Saxton and Bedford public schools. Mrs. Simon received her B.S. at Shippensburg University, and did graduate work at Penn State University. She was a member of Cornwall United Methodist Church, Cornwall, Delta Kappa Gamma, Mt. Gretna Winterites, Duplicate Bridge Club, Association of Retired State Employees, and the Lebanon Salvation Army Advisory Board. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Saxton. The Rohland Funeral Home Inc., Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
