Smith, 80, of Cornwall Manor, Cornwall, Pa., died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Cornwall Manor. Born in Louisa, Virginia, on October 31, 1927, he was the son of the late Casper E. and Minnie A. (Hottinger) Smith. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed at Quaker Alloy, Myerstown, Pa., for 35 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, Myerstown, Pa., and the Heidelberg Sportsmans Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being with his friends at K Mart. He is survived by daughters Joann S. Bollinger of Lebanon, Pa., and Kim L., wife of Michael Gerdes of New Bern, North Carolina; sons Lynn D. Smith of Myerstown, Pa., and Kevin L., husband of Sandra Smith of Cornwall, Pa.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Cornwall Manor, No. 1 Boyd Street, Cornwall, Pa. Viewing Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, RD 2, Myerstown, PA 17067.
