Miller SHABODEHO@aol.com April 23, 2008, 10:20 am Published in the Lebanon Daily News from 3/17/2008 Smith, Ida Margaret "Margo" Margaret Smith GRETNA SPRINGS Ida Margaret Smith (known as) "Margo," wife of Curvin Carl Smith (Pete) of Gretna Springs, Pa., died Saturday March 15, 2008, in Lancaster General Hospital. Margo was born in Springfield, Ohio, on September 21, 1921, as the first of three children of the late Wilbur Maxwell Sellers and Marjorie Sellers. Her brother, Robert, predeceased her. She is survived by a sister (Suzanne Pully) of Reedville, Va. Margo was a devoted teacher, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in health and physical education and a Master of Education degree from Gettysburg College and Penn State, respectfully. She taught in public school in East Berlin, Pa., and served as a home bound instructor in Adams County, Pa. Margo taught Sunday school for 35 years in various Methodist churches in Alexandria, Va., San Diego, Calif., New Oxford, Pa., Hanover and Gettysburg, Pa., and in the Highland Presbyterian Church of Lancaster, Pa., of which she was a member. Margo's first husband, Martin G. Flegal of Altoona, Pa., predeceased her in 1952 from World War II injuries. She is survived by a son, Martin G. Flegal, husband of Robbin Stover Flegal of Lititz; a daughter, Cheryl Garner of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Margo Sue Slabonik, wife of John Slabonik, of Manheim, Pa.; a daughter, Sandra Hurd of Cleveland, Ohio, predeceased her. Margo is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008, at 11 a.m. in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 600 S. 12th Street, Lebanon. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. No viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lancaster Area Kidney Association, P.O.
