Snavely Sr., age 60, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, while camping at the Geist Mountain Creek Campground, Cameron County, Pa. He was the husband of the late Janet (Kimmel) Snavely, who died May 23, 2002. He was born in Lebanon on December 11, 1947, to Herman and Catherine Beselgia Snavely. His first wife, Francine Baylin Snavely, also preceded him death. He owned and operated Conner's Tavern in Lebanon. He was an avid sports fan, especially Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and cooking. He is survived by his children, sons Victor H. Snavely Jr. of Palmyra, Kerry S. Snavely and his wife, Tina of Campbelltown; and his daughter, Lisa J. Skishalley of Palmyra; six grandchildren, Amy and Megan Skishalley, Meagan, Courtney and Ryan Gavin and Bradley Rossi; sisters Barbara Blouch and Judy Flowers, both of Palmyra, and Kathy Seibert and Linda Weaber, both of Campbelltown; and a brother, Gregory Snavely of Palmyra. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time for viewing on Thursday, July 3, 2008, from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. at the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, followed by his funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 7/1/2008.
