  Robert J. Snyder Sr., 80, of Lebanon, Pa., died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 
  at his residence. He was the husband of Doris E. (Maulfair) Snyder, to whom he 
  was married 58 years on March 25. Born in Lebanon, Pa., on April 17, 1928, he 
  was the son of the late Leroy J. and Elizabeth M. (Carmany) Snyder. He served 
  in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and had owned and operated Snyder's 
  Service Station on North Seventh Street, Lebanon, for 50 years. He enjoyed 
  Nascar racing and football. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 
  daughters Elaine, wife of Clinton I. Cummings of Myerstown, Donna, wife of 
  David Van Kirk of Jonestown, Kim, wife of George Binner of Lebanon, Lori, wife 
  of Eugene Peffley of Lebanon, Jan, wife of Michael Reedy of Newmanstown, Mary, 
  wife of Jeffery LaFollette of Mohnton, Laura, wife of Michael Shellito of 
  Franklinville, New Jersey; and a son Robert Jr., husband of Kim Snyder of 
  Lebanon; 26 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 
  He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna J. Snyder; and a brother, John 
  Snyder. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 21, 2008, at 2 
  p.m. at Snyder's Service Station, 909 N. Seventh St., Lebanon. In lieu of 
  flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 
  E. Brown St., Suite 23, Middletown, PA 17057. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, is 
  in charge of arrangements.
