Sprecher, 83, formerly of 24 Erinn Lane, Lebanon died Thursday July 31, 2008 in Spang Crest Nursing Home, Lebanon. He was the husband of the late Betty J. Keller Sprecher who died in 2005. Born in N. Cornwall Twp. on June 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Alvin L. and Carrie Funk Sprecher. He was the former owner of Lebanon Machine and Manufacturing Company, Inc. and a US Army Veteran of WW II. He was a former Machine Shop Teacher at Lebanon High School prior to becoming selfemployed. He was a 1943 graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Penn State University. Carl was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Lebanon, the Men of Salem, and served on the Church Council. He was also a member of Mt. Lebanon Lodge 226 F. &A.M.; Harrisburg Consistory; Zembo Temple Shrine; Knights Templar Hermit Commandery #24, Lebanon; Royal & Select Master Masons of Pa., Lebanon Council #27; Weidle Royal Arch Chapter #197; and the Central PA Sports Hall of Fame. Surviving are three sons James C. Sprecher of Palmyra, William A. Sprecher of Lebanon, and Thomas E. Sprecher of Lebanon. A daughter Susan J. wife of Jayme Witwer of Thousand Oaks, CA and nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers Mark and Lloyd Sprecher. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from Salem Lutheran Church, 8th and Willow Streets, Lebanon. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Military Honors. No viewing or visitation. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville is in charge of arrangements.
