  Cheryl Ann Sterner, 53, of Pine Grove, PA, passed away Saturday, December 20, 
  2008 in Tremont Health & Rehab Center. Born on August 21, 1955 in Pottsville, 
  she was a daughter of Grace Mutschler Spittler of Pine Grove and the late 
  Donald "Sam" Spittler. Cheryl was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in 
  Ravine and was a 1974 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School. She was an 
  Honorary member of the Pine Grove Fish & Game Ladies Artillary. Surviving are 
  her husband of 27 years, John Sterner, one sister, Donna Schwalm, 2 brothers, 
  Lynn Spittler and Bradley Spittler, all of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews. 
  Services will be held at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday, December 23, 
  2008 at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Cynthia Kennett officiating. Family and friends may 
  call Tuesday, December 23 Noon to 1:30 at the H.L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 
  Pine Grove, PA. Interment will follow in the St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, 
  Pine Grove, Pa. 17963. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer 
  Society, 16 North Fourth Street, Minersville, Pa. 17954, in her memory.
