  Dorothy A. (Schaeffer) Stevens PALMYRA Dorothy A. (Schaeffer) Stevens, formerly 
  of Palmyra died Thursday, March 13, 2008, in the Phoenixville Hospital, 
  Montgomery County. She was born on April 16, 1918, in Lebanon County to Victor 
  and Alfreda Slack Schaeffer. She retired after 34 years from the J. Landis Shoe 
  Factory, where she was employed as a supply clerk manager. She is a graduate of 
  Palmyra High School Class of 1936. Surviving her are a son, Benjamin Stevens of 
  Yorba Linda, Calif.; a daughter, Elaine Stevens of Phoenixville, Pa.; a 
  granddaughter, Melissa Ann McGarahan; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and 
  Kayleigh McGarahan of Yorba Linda, Calif. Relatives and friends are invited to 
  a time of viewing on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the Rothermel Funeral Home 
  Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, from 9:3010:30 a.m., followed by her funeral 
  service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given 
  to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 101, 
  Harrisburg, PA 17110; or to the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind, 90 E. 
  Shady Lane, Enola, PA 17025.
