Miller shabodeho@aol.com April 29, 2008, 10:40 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 4/22/2008 Swisher, Doug Doug Swisher Doug Swisher, 45, born August 4th, 1962, entered into rest unexpectedly Friday, April 18th, 2008. He was the loving husband of Cindy Swisher, and devoted father of Molly and Matthew Swisher. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of Donald Swisher and Sylvania Grandi. Doug was blessed with many family members and close friends. Surviving in addition to his wife, children and parents, are stepmother Shirley Swisher; his brother Rick, husband of Deb (Shirey); sisters Donna, wife of Kevin Goodman, and Liz, partner of Pat Kunes; mother-in-law Dorothy Shollenberger; sister-inlaw Crystal Weand; brother-in-law Chad Shollenberger, husband of Wendy (George); and numerous nieces, nephews as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father-inlaw, Bill Shollenberger; and stepmother Carol Swisher. Doug spent four years in the United States Air Force serving in Ramstein, Germany, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. He was a glazier by profession, and proprietor of Hockley Glass and Mirror for a number of years. Doug was a kid at heart and enjoyed having fun. He was currently helping to coach his son's lacrosse team, and throughout the years he coached numerous softball, baseball and basketball teams his children participated in. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, April 27th, 2008, at 3 p.m. at the Mount Zion Road Church of the Brethren, 2087 Mt. Zion Road, Lebanon. Please omit flowers.
