"Steve" Walmer, 58, of 2287 Bob White Lane, Lancaster, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 16, 2008, at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Herman and Laverne Brooks Walmer. Craig worked for Camino Real Foods Inc., Centerville, until his retirement; previously he was a partner, along with his father, of the former Colonial Restaurant Equipment Company, Manheim. He was the husband of the late Jennifer K. Gantz Walmer, who died in 2002. Craig was a member of the Church Of The Good Shepherd, Lebanon. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Millersville University. His interests included tennis, music, movies, yard work, history, baseball, and was an enthusiastic and avid Boston Red Socks fan. Surviving are a son, Kevin E., husband of Tammy G. Snyder Gantz of East Petersburg; two grandchildren, Kevin E. II and Victoria Gantz; and a sister, Barbara, wife of David Munch of New Jersey. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service from the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 10 a.m. Interment in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
