  Eva R. Wealand, 90, formerly of Ephrata and Schaefferstown, died Thursday, July 
  31, 2008, in the Maple Farm Nursing Center, Akron. She was the wife of the late 
  Charles Wealand, who died in June of 1974. She was born July 5, 1928, in 
  Denver, a daughter of the late Amos and Bertha Redcay. Eva was employed in the 
  Dietary Department of the Ephrata Community Hospital for 25 years and was a 
  member of the Ephrata Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by a son, Richard 
  E., husband of Julie I. Wealand, Ephrata; daughters Kathy M., wife of David 
  McGarvey, Denver; Shirley A. Reese, Ephrata; 12 grandchildren; 10 
  greatgrandchildren; brother Amos Redcay, Ephrata; sister Bertha Brenneman, 
  Lititz. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Wealand; brothers Martin, 
  Norman, Henry, Abe, Mahlon, Allen, Edwin and Adam; sisters Elva Redcay and 
  Martha Strauss. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the 
  Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown, with a viewing 
  beginning on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be made in the Schaefferstown 
  Cemetery.
