Miller shabodeho@aol.com April 27, 2008, 10:21 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News 4/20/2008 - 4/21/2008 Weaver, Gail Elizabeth Kling (Frey) Gail Elizabeth (Frey) Kling Weaver LITITZ Gail Elizabeth (Frey) Kling Weaver, 85, of Lititz, entered into rest unexpectedly at Lancaster General Hospital on Friday, April 18, 2008. Born in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Christian and Emma (Reitz) Frey and was the wife of Alvin Weaver. In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. C. Richard Kling, a daughter Eunice Marie, a brother James Frey, two sisters, Verna Bauman, Elta Weaver, and a stepsister, Esther Hoover. Besides her husband, Gail is survived by two sons, J. Nelson, husband of Marie (Forney) Kling of Lancaster, and Gerald F., husband of D.J. (Weaver) Kling of Smoketown, 4 grandchildren, a brother Harold Frey, a sister Jean Weaver and a stepsister Ruth Hershey. Also surviving are Alvin's children, Yvonne Weaver of Lebanon, Jesse, husband of Darlene (Reiff) Weaver of Lebanon, Deborah, wife of Lester Weaver of Ephrata, Beth, wife of Elias Gingrich of Bethel, and Judith, wife of Jeffrey Bohlen of Lancaster, Alvin's 12 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren. A homemaker, Gail was a member of Millport Mennonite Church. She, along with her first husband C. Richard Kling, was involved with church planting in Atmore, Alabama for 38 years. She volunteered with Jubilee Ministries and at Landis Homes and was known for her generous hospitality. At 18 years of age, Gail started a daily diary which she continued all of her life. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, April 21, 2008 at Landis Homes, West Bethany Chapel, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Millport Mennonite Church, 820 Log Cabin Road, Leola (Warwick Twp.). Bishop Nelson Martin and Pastor Clyde Hollinger will officiate. Burial will take place at Hess Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Gail's memory may be sent to the Landis Homes Caring Fund, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543. Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata.
