  Ruth G. Weaver, 88, of Ephrata entered into rest at Fairmount Homes Retirement 
  Community, Ephrata, on Saturday, August 2, 2008. Born in Brecknock Township, 
  she was a daughter of the late Abraham and Kathryn (Musser) Gehman. She was the 
  step-daughter of the late Mabel Lefever Gehman. She is the widow of Martin H. 
  Weaver, who died in April of 2005. A homemaker, Ruth was a member of the 
  Martindale Mennonite Church, the church sewing circle, and enjoyed quilting as 
  a hobby. She is survived by two sons, Martin Weaver of Lititz and Lloyd, 
  husband of Marilyn (Zook) Weaver of Darby, Montana; four daughters, Martha, 
  wife of John Auker of Denver, Mary, wife of Richard Brubaker of Myerstown, 
  Margaret, wife of William Gall of Millersville, and Ruth Ann, wife of Kenneth 
  Freed of Rebersburg; 24 grandchildren; 41 greatgrandchildren; stepbrother 
  Jesse, husband of Joanne Gehman of Ephrata; sister Martha Gehman of Ephrata; 
  and stepsister Orpha Gehman of Vietnam. She was preceded in death by her 
  parents and husband. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 7th, 
  at the Wheatridge Chapel of Fairmount Homes Retirement Community, Wheatridge 
  Drive, Ephrata, and also one hour prior to services Friday at the church. 
  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 8th, at the 
  Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Martindale, with Bishop Robert 
  Trupe and ministers Kenneth Freed, Matt Martin and Eugene Weaver officiating. 
  Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. 
  Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata.
