She was the wife of Harold L. Wildermuth, to whom she was married on May 8, 1948 in Annville, PA. They celebrated their 60th Anniversary last week. Born April 16, 1922 in Summit Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rufus W. and Leona E. (Stewart) Wilson. She was a 1941 graduate of Mauch Chunk High School, continuing into the WWII Nursing Cadet program and graduated from Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. Caroline worked as a Registered Nurse for several years in the maternity unit at the Pottsville Hospital. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church Christ, Summer Hill. She enjoyed playing games, going out to eat, listening to a good story and road trips. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by one brother: Francis S. "Dutch" Wilson and his wife Lillian; three sisters: Betty J. Evock and her husband Peter; Sarah V. "Sally" Lucas and her husband Don; and Dorothy I. Breon and her husband Jim. Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters: Lorraine E. Phillips and her husband Earl of Auburn, PA; Deborah A. Wilson and Harol L. Lafferty both of Newburgh, IN; eight grandchildren whom she adored and was extremely proud of: Jonathan P. Phillips and his wife Julie of Kailua, HI; Joel F. Phillips of Barnesville, PA; Deborah L. Phillips of Pittston, PA; Elisa C. Phillips of Auburn, PA; Thomas W. Wilson of Nashville, TN; Steven E. Wilson and Katie E. Lafferty both of Newburgh, IN; Andrew M. Lafferty of Great Lakes, IL; two greatgranddaughters whom she cherished and delighted in: Jade E. Phillips daughter of Joel and Jane E. Phillips daughter of Jonathan and Julie. Also surviving are four sisters: Josephine T. and her husband Clarence Hillyard of Jersey Shore, PA; Patricia M. Blair of Cranston, RI; Phyllis J. "Jackie" and her husband Joseph Brenneman of Huntingdon, PA; Leona D. "Peggy" Downs of South Elgin, IL; one brother Cornelius A. "Gus" Wilson and his wife Carolynne of Huntingdon, PA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's U.C.C., Summer Hill, Auburn, PA, with Rev. Janet Lewis officiating. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Internment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, PA. The family respectfully request donations in her memory to be made to St. Paul's U.C.C. Memorial Fund, 1235 Summer Hill Road, Auburn, PA 17922.
