Miller shabodeho@aol.com July 25, 2008, 10:21 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 7/11/2008 Williams, Jane Jane Williams, 74, of Lebanon passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 8th, in Roanoke, Virginia, while attending the Region 6 Arabian Horse Show. Born January 11, 1934, in Lebanon, she was the daughter of Dr. Herbert C. and Helen Moore McClelland. Jane graduated from Lebanon High School and Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pa. She was a life member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, and served as the GSH Street Fair chairman. Jane worked in retail most of her life, served on committees at the Lebanon Country Club, and was a board member and avid supporter of the Quentin Riding Club. Jane's greatest passion was her horses, riding when she was younger at the Quentin Riding Club, and watching later on as they show in halter classes, and her daughter, Megan, participated in performance classes in various Arabian shows around the country. Jane is survived by her daughter, Megan Petry and husband Thomas of Lebanon; brother Robert McClelland of San Francisco; and companion Joseph Eckenrode of Lebanon. A celebration of her life will be held at the Quentin Riding Club July 19th at 11 a.m.; friends are welcome. Interment will be private, and at the convenience of the family.
