  Shirley M. (Shindel) Yost, 76, formerly of Harrisburg, died in her residence in 
  Lewes, Delaware, on Thursday, August 21, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. 
  She was the wife of William R. Yost, with whom she celebrated their 55th 
  wedding anniversary on Saturday, August 9, 2008. She was born on November 8, 
  1931, in Lebanon to William P. and Ida Shay Shindel. She was a registered 
  nurse, retiring after 22 years from the Visiting Nurses Association of 
  Harrisburg. She was a graduate of the class of 1949 from Lebanon High School 
  and St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, Bethlehem, PA. She was a former 
  member of the Colonial Park United Church of Christ and a member of the Conley 
  United Methodist Church of Lewes, DE. She was known as the "Crab Lady of West 
  Bay Park" in Lewes. Surviving in addition to her husband, William, are her 
  children, Donald E., husband of Barbara Yost of Camp Hill; Terry, wife of Steve 
  Bauknight of Harrisburg, and Lyn, wife of Ed Wagner of Eugene, OR; 5 
  grandchildren; brothers James W. Shindel of Jonestown, PA, and Peter E. Shindel 
  of Tampa, FL. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time for viewing on 
  Monday, August 25, 2008, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Rothermel Funeral Home, Inc., 
  25 W. Pine St., Palmyra. Her funeral will be on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at 11 
  AM at the funeral home with a viewing one hour prior to services. Rev. Judith 
  Gibble Kipp will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, 
  Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the 
  Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
