Miller shabodeho@aol.com September 2, 2008, 9:08 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 8/22/2008 Zurick, George T. George T. Zurick, 64, of Harrisburg died Wednesday, August 20, 2008, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born January 21, 1944, in Hazelton, a son of the late George T. Sr. and Leona (Hudy) Zurick. Mr. Zurick was a graduate of Penn State University, served as a school psychologist with the Capital Area Intermediate Unit, and also with the Harrisburg School District until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan, and could be seen taking pictures of high school teams across the state for Sports Fever at pasportsfever.com. He also worked with the Pennsylvania Cable Network as a statistician during coverage of the PIAA basketball and football playoffs. He was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, the American Psychology Association, and the Nittany Lion Club. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Marianne (Rocosky) Zurick; a son, Adam Zurick and his wife Michelle of Myerstown; a daughter, Donna Zurick of Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren, Abigail and Aaron Zurick; two sisters, Regina Puschauver of West Hazelton and Rosemarie Worek of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 11 a.m. in his church. Friends will be received Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Champions for Children, c/o Pam Laudermilich, CAIU 55 Miller St., Summerdale, PA 17093; or to his church at 4010 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111. Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Hershey, is handling the arrangements.
