Wayne E. Anderson ANNVILLE Wayne E. Anderson, 59, died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at his residence after an extended illness. He was the husband of Debbie L. (Lutz) Anderson with whom he celebrated their 29th anniversary in October, 2008. He was born in Johnstown, a son of the late Leonard P. and E. Caroline (Pritts) Anderson. Mr. Anderson retired in 2007 after 34 years in the telephony field, last working in the network support department of Verizon in Hershey. Prior to that, he worked for the former Henze's Exxon station in Johnstown, having started working there while in high school. He was a 1970 graduate of Conemaugh Twp. High School, Davidsville. Mr. Anderson was a member and former deacon of New Bethel U.C.C. in Kempton. He was also a member of The Blue Moon Cruisers Auto Club in the Harrisburg area and the National Street Rod Association. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, William A. Anderson and wife, Sharryn of Windber, Calvin E. Anderson and wife, Dorothy of Johnstown, and Earl H. Anderson and wife, Marlene of Laury's Station; mother- in-law, Marie Lutz of Kempton; four nieces; one nephew; one great-niece; and one greatnephew. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009, in the New Bethel Union Church, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton, with a calling hour beginning at noon. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. David W. Blitch will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 Brown St., Suite 23, Middletown, PA 17057; or New Bethel U.C.C. Congregation Memorial Fund, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton, PA 19529. Arrangements are by the Nester Funeral Home, New Tripoli.
