"Prince" Anspach, 57, of Oak Grove Road, passed away Wednes day, December 23, 2009, at his home. Born on September 25, 1952, in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Paul N. "Zook" and Irene Zerbe Anspach. Harold was a 1970 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School. He loved being with his grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting. Harold worked and retired as an Ironworker for Ebinger Iron Works in Schuylkill Haven. He was a member of the Ironworkers Local 404 in Harrisburg, the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge F. & A. M. #409, the Elbow Fish & Game Hunting Club, the Pine Grove Fish & Game, and was a social member of the Pine Grove V.F.W., the Mt. Etna Fire Co., and the Bethel Fire Co. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Melissa A. "Missy" Anspach, on September 6, 2008. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Joanne Schneck Anspach; a daughter, Jodi, wife of Jerry Fasnacht of Orefield; a son, Robert Anspach of Long Island, N.Y.; two grandsons, Dylan Fasnacht and Austin Fasnacht; a granddaughter, Taylor Fasnacht; brother, Paul Steve Anspach of Grantville; a sister, Janice Wright of Glen Burnie , Md.; and his stepmother, Theresa Anspach, and a stepsister, Dorothy Krause, both of Pine Grove. Memorial services will be held at Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, 347 Sweet Arrow Lake Road, on Sunday, December 27, 2009, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Richard Hoffman officiating. There will be a calling time Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at church. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to either the SloanKettering Cancer Center, Attn. Kidney Cancer Research, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY 10065; or to the Covenant Home Care, 1510 Highway 61 South, Pottsville, PA 17901, in his memory. The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
