Jonathan A. Col. Jonathan A. Arnold, 74, of 138 Anthracite Rd., Cornwall Boro, died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Hamilton Arms, Lancaster, PA. He was the husband of Phyllis M. Vranesic Arnold. Born in Lebanon, PA on August 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Jonathan and Elizabeth Hartman Arnold. He retired from the the U.S. Army after serving for 30 years. He also retired as an Accountant with AMP Inc. He was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and St. Vincent College, Latrobe, PA. and he coached youth football in the Lebanon area. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Cornwall. Surviving in addition to his wife is a sister: Elizabeth DeCaro of Connecticut, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 a.m. from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Cornwall. No visition. Interment wiil be held August 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
