Walter E. Barteit, 89, of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra, died Monday, February 16, 2009, at the home. Born December 15, 1919, in New Haven, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Ewald and Marie (Michalek) Barteit. He retired as regional sales and service manager from the former T. R. W. Industrial Sales Group, Greenfield, Massachusetts, was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Surviving is his wife, Betty Jane (Anstead) Barteit of Palmyra. Memorial services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the DiMatteo Worship Center, 1200 Grubb Street, Palmyra. Fellowship and visitation will follow in the multipurpose room at the home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Street, Palmyra, PA 17078; or to the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, P.
