  Helen Meyers Basti HERSHEY Helen Meyers Basti passed away on Thursday, October 
  22, 2009. She was born March 5, 1936. She was the daughter of the late George 
  S. and Clara (Peck) Meyers of Halifax. Her siblings were the late George E. 
  Meyers and Dorothy L. Meyers Deibler, both from the Halifax area. She was a 
  devoted and caring wife for over 20 years to the late Gabriel Basti of Hershey 
  whose offspring are a son, Martin Basti; two daughters, Gabrielle Sutcliffe and 
  Colette Basti; and four grandchildren, Morgan and Andrew Basti, and GiAnn and 
  Anthony Sutcliffe. After retiring from a long, successful career at Sears 
  Roebuck Company in the Financial Department, Helen spent her efforts 
  volunteering at the Hershey Public Library and Country Meadows Retirement 
  Center, all in an effort to bring a smile to someone's face. At the end of the 
  day, she made a positive difference in the quality of life for many looking for 
  a good friend and some companionship. In her earlier years, Helen lived on 
  Million Dollar Road in Halifax which embodies the way she lived. Her life was 
  rich, full spirited, jubilant, and full of life. Helen will be missed, and her 
  contributions to community and life will be cherished by many who had the good 
  fortune to know her. A Scripture Service will be held at St. Joan of Arc Roman 
  Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave. in Hershey on Tuesday, October 27, at 11 
  am. Please remember Helen by making a contribution to a community service 
  organization of your choice. Arrangements are by Hoover Funeral Home & 
  Crematory, Inc. of Hershey.
