  Clarence J. Batdorf, 82, of 551 Frystown Road, Myerstown, Pa., died Thursday, 
  April 16, 2009, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Dorothy 
  Schoener Batdorf, who died January 31, 1991. Born in Frystown, Pa., on January 
  8, 1927, he was the son of the late George and Jennie Peiffer Batdorf. He had 
  been employed as a concrete and masonry worker for Robert Beamesderfer, 
  Myerstown, for 25 years. He also worked on his family's farm for over 50 years. 
  He was a member of St. Paul's UCC, Hamlin, Pa. He was a lifetime member of the 
  Frystown Fire Co., where he drove the tank truck for 35 years, and a member of 
  the Frystown Lions Club. He is survived by daughter Linda, wife of Walter 
  Dailey of Elysburg, Pa.; sons Robert, husband of Cindy Batdorf of Leesport, 
  Pa., and Brian, husband of Judy Batdorf of Frystown; grandchildren Gabriel and 
  Joel Batdorf of Leesport; several stepgrandchildren; sister Grace Lausch of 
  Myerstown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers 
  Curtis and Mark Batdorf. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 2009, 
  at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Viewing 
  Monday at 10 a.m. Interment at Hamlin Cemetery. Published in the Lebanon Daily
