  Anna L. Bean, 92, formerly of Bethel and Richland died January 12th in the ECC 
  Retirement VillageAlbright Campus, Myerstown. Her husband, Walter L. "Jim" 
  Bean, died in 1983. She was born in Tulpehocken Township, the daughter of the 
  late Milton A. and Lottie (Batdorf) Althouse. She worked at the former Linden 
  Manufacturing, Womelsdorf, retiring in July 1978. She was a member of Zion Blue 
  Mountain U.C.C., Strausstown. She was a life member of the Bethel, Frystown, 
  Mt. Aetna, and Richland fire companies. She is survived by two sisters, Mabel 
  E., wife of Ralph M. Rentschler of Wernersville, and Carol, wife of Greg Smith 
  of Spring Grove, Pa.; also a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased 
  by two brothers, Harry L. and Robert M. Althouse; and two sisters, Margaret M. 
  Mountz and Helen L. Andrews. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Hill 
  Funeral Home, Rehrersburg. Interment at Strausstown Cemetery. Friends are 
  invited to call Thursday 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Family requests 
  donations to Zion Blue Mountain U.C.C., PO Box 98, Strausstown, PA 19559.
