  Mark J. Bechtold BETHEL Mark J. Bechtold, 86, died Saturday, August 8, 2009, of 
  natural causes in ECC Retirement Village-Albright Campus, Myerstown, where he 
  was a guest since May 18, 2009. He was the husband of Hilda E. (Bashore) 
  Bechtold, who died December 5, 2007. Born May 9, 1923, in Prescott, Lebanon 
  County, he was the son of the late Benjamin & Fannie (Royer) Bechtold. He was a 
  member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, where he was a past custodian. 
  He was a farmer and operator of Mark Bechtold Excavating Co. He also worked at 
  the Bethel Feed Mill and at the former Rolfings Orchard, Lebanon Co., and was a 
  former bus driver for the Tulpehocken School District. Survivors include two 
  sons, Richard L., husband of Susan L. Bechtold of Santa Fe, N.M., and Dale M., 
  husband of Darlene K. Bechtold of Bethel; one daughter, Ruth E., wife of Berne 
  Dutcher of Wellsboro; one brother, Earl Marks of Hanover; four grandchildren, 
  Jennifer Maurer, Heather Claman, Julie Cariss, and Bradley Bechtold; and two 
  great-grandchildren, Autumn and Breanna Claman. Funeral service will be held 
  Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg 
  Road, P.O. Box M., Bethel, PA 19507. Interment will follow in Markey's 
  Cemetery, Bethel Twp. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of 
  the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church at 
  the above address. The Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, is in charge of 
  arrangements.
