Gladys J. Bomberger Gladys J. Bomberger, 91, formerly of Richland and a 10-year resident of StoneRidge Campus, Myerstown, died July 8th, 2009, in Good Samaritan Hospital. Born in Stricklerstown, Millcreek Twp., she was the daughter of the late Elmer J. and Tillie (Royer) Bomberger. She was a graduate of Newmanstown High School and a 1939 graduate of Millersville University. She served in the American Red Cross during WW II, serving in the South Pacific. She taught on U.S. Army bases in Berlin, Germany, and in Okinawa, and later taught in Coral Gables, FL. She retired from Lebanon School District after 33 years of teaching. She was a member of Grace U.C.C., Richland, and a member of the PA Assoc. of Retired Teachers. Gladys enjoyed painting and traveling. She is survived by sister Helen B. Barry, Richland; niece Pamela B. Bowie, Leesport; nephew J. Philip Barry, Woodridge, NJ. Also, three great-nieces & great-nephew, Kristin Seifert, John Bowie and Patricia Bowie. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 17th ,at 2:00 p.m. in StoneRidge Community Chapel, Myerstown. Interment is private. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace U.C.C., Church & South Park Streets, Box 694, Richland, PA 17087.
